We have stepped up to the future. With our new identity, Rebuilding Together Lowell, we are committed to providing better and expanded home rehabilitation services to low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly, the disabled and families with children. As Rebuilding Together, we are stepping up as a more effective solution to a growing problem. There has never been a more exciting time in the life of this organization. We look forward to working with you to provide to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safety, and independence.

Thank you for making Rebuilding Day 2011 in Lowell a success!

On behalf of the homeowners and Rebuilding Together Lowell’s board of directors I
would like to say “Thank you” to everyone who helped make Rebuilding Day 2011 so fantastic.

Each of you where part of a larger picture, more than just the house you worked on. Rebuilding
Together is a national nonprofit with a network of more than 200 affiliates across the United States
- rehabbing over 4000 low income homes on Saturday! RT Lowell is one of the smaller affiliates, on
Saturday across the city we worked on 5 houses with the about 130 volunteers! Home repairs ranged
from roof work, updated and handicapped bathroom accommodations, new energy efficient appliances,
yard work, new doors as well as new entry stairs and railings and repaired porch for some homes.

One homeowner, an 82 year old veteran was amazed that so many people came to his home to
do so many projects. The man lives with his sister and she is older than him by a few years so repairs are

We would like to thank all of you who helped make yesterday a great success. I hope many of you were the recipients of an appreciative hug, kind word, or even a few tears from one of the many people you helped yesterday. You really did make a difference.
